Bronze Plates, Rings & Wear Components
Wear plates, slide plates, rings and thrust elements for guideways, presses and heavy machinery.
Bronze plates, rings and wear components provide replaceable contact surfaces in sliding, guiding and thrust applications. Mete Prime supplies these parts through our foundry group's production capabilities in Türkiye, with European and Adriatic sales coordination from Bar, Montenegro.
Components are supplied to customer drawings, samples or existing-part references for new equipment and replacement requirements. The scope includes plate and ring blanks, pre-machined parts and finished wear components, with material, machining details and inspection requirements agreed for each order.

Wear Plates and Slide Plates
Bronze wear plates and slide plates are used on guideways, linear sliding surfaces, presses, lifting equipment, heavy machinery, tooling, mining equipment and other applications where repeated movement and load produce friction.
The design may be a simple flat plate or a fully machined component with oil grooves, pockets, mounting holes, slots, chamfers and reference surfaces.
Graphite-Plugged Plates
Where grease access is difficult or maintenance intervals need to be extended, a solid bronze plate can be designed with graphite or another approved solid-lubricant insert pattern. The plug arrangement should consider the direction of movement, contact area, load distribution, speed and mating material. The insert pattern is specified to suit lubrication needs across the working contact surface.

Rings, Thrust Components and Wear Washers
Bronze rings are used as bearing rings, thrust elements, wear rings, spacers, sealing-related mechanical parts and machining blanks.
Large rings may be cast close to the final geometry to reduce material waste, while smaller parts may be machined from suitable semi-finished stock depending on alloy, quantity and dimensions.

Drawing Features to Define
A wear component is defined by its interface, not only by its outline. The following should be marked on the drawing or stated in the enquiry:
- Overall length, width, thickness or ring diameters
- Flatness, parallelism and critical mounting dimensions
- Hole pattern, countersinks, slots, oil grooves or lubrication pockets
- Graphite-plug geometry and orientation where applicable
- Mating surface, movement direction and lubrication condition
- Required material, inspection and supply condition
- Order quantity, requested delivery date and destination.
Supply Options
Customers can request plate or ring material for their own processing, cast blanks with machining allowance, pre-machined parts or completed wear components. The quotation should state exactly which dimensions are controlled in the delivered condition.
Applications Across European Industry
Across industrial machinery, marine equipment and energy applications, plates, rings and thrust components serve different functions within an assembly. Wear and slide plates provide replaceable contact surfaces on guides and moving structures; rings are used as bearing, wear or spacing elements; and thrust washers and related components provide axial contact surfaces. Requirements may cover parts for new equipment, scheduled maintenance or replacement of existing components.
Material Selection for Sliding and Wear
Wear behaviour depends on more than nominal hardness. Load, sliding speed, lubrication, contamination, temperature, shaft or mating material and surface finish all affect performance.
Tin bronzes are widely associated with wear and bearing service; aluminium bronzes can be useful where higher strength or aggressive conditions are involved; other copper alloys may be selected for specific combinations of machinability, corrosion or friction performance.
Request a Quote for Plates, Rings or Wear Components
Send your drawing, sample or available dimensions, together with the material grade and quantity. If reverse engineering or material identification is required, please indicate this in your enquiry so the scope can be reviewed before quotation.
