Bronze Rods, Bars, Tubes & Profiles

Continuous-cast semi-finished forms supplied in project-specific alloys, dimensions and cut lengths.

Mete Prime supplies continuous-cast bronze rods, bars, tubes and selected profiles for machine shops, metal distributors and industrial manufacturers. Produced through our foundry group in Türkiye, these semi-finished forms provide material for turning, boring, milling and component production. European and Adriatic sales are coordinated from Bar, Montenegro, with technical requirements reviewed directly with the production team.

Solid rods, hollow tubes and flat bars are supplied in customer-specified alloys, dimensions and lengths. The required section and machining allowance are assessed against the intended component, supporting both individual projects and repeat material orders.

Semi-Finished Forms for Further Machining

Semi-finished bronze forms allow customers to carry out final machining within their own production process. The supplied section and allowance are agreed with the final geometry in mind, leaving the required material for bores, faces, grooves, threads and other drawing features.

What Continuous Casting Means

In continuous casting, molten copper alloy solidifies through a cooled die while the solidified section is withdrawn in a controlled sequence. The process is particularly suited to long, repeated cross-sections such as round bars, hollow sections and profiles.

It allows manufacturers to produce material close to the required machining stock geometry and is widely used in the European bronze market for semi-finished products.

Product Forms

Solid bronze round bars used as machining stock01

Solid Bars and Rods

Used for turned components, pins, smaller bushings, washers, nuts, gear blanks and general machined parts. Grade, diameter, cut length and machining allowance specified per component.

Hollow Bars and Bronze Tubes

Reduce the amount of metal removed when the final part already contains a large bore. Frequently used as machining blanks for bushings, sleeves and bearing components.

Flat Bars and Profiles

Flat bronze bars supplied as machining stock for wear plates, guides and other components. Non-standard profiles are reviewed against the required alloy, cross-section and production quantity before quotation.

Material & Ordering

Alloy Selection

Continuous-cast material can be required in tin bronze, leaded bronze, aluminium bronze, special brass or another copper-based alloy depending on final use and manufacturing feasibility.

A machine shop may prioritize machinability and chip control, while a bearing manufacturer may prioritize wear and friction behaviour. Marine and corrosion-exposed applications may require a different alloy family from general mechanical service.

Ordering Data for Technical Buyers
